Halloween Spooky Spider Deviled Eggs Recipe
Halloween is such a fun time of year. With spooky decorations and the hunt for the perfect costume, it is easy to overlook the best part: Spooky Snacks & other fun Halloween Treats! These Halloween Deviled Eggs are super easy to make and look like spiders, so the kids not only enjoy making them, they love eating them!
When I say these are super easy to make, I mean it! Make your basic deviled egg recipe (scroll down for the printable version of mine) and then decorate with black olives to make Spooky Spiders! Simply cut one black olive in half lengthwise and place the two halves on the egg to form the body. Cut a second olive in half lengthwise and then cut the half into four legs. Arrange the legs on the egg and you are done! If you are okay with uneven legs, you can have the kids use a plastic knife to cut the olives for you. This would be a great family Halloween activity that you can involve even the younger children in!
If you want to prepare these ahead for a Halloween party, or just make a big batch to enjoy at home, I found these neat Deviled Egg Trays with Snap On Lids that will make them easy to store in the fridge without ruining them. Of course, that plan will only work if you can keep the kids out of them long enough to make them ahead and have some left over when you need them. It’s a good thing these are easy to make because they don’t seem to last long before the family makes them disappear!
